ABOUT:
Fun geometric buff top amethyst ring where the underside of the stone is faceted and the top is smooth and set flush in the bezel setting. Small size, would make a fun pinky ring. Beautiful engraved details to the 10k white gold setting which has a bit of height and geometry to it.
I didn't notice this when I purchased it but one edge of the stone is cracked. I see it now so I'm listing it for about what I paid, but no worries as I like to support other small businesses. I purchased the piece at a jewelry store in Wisconsin near where I grew up, while accompanying my husband on a work trip and between visiting my cousins : ). I always seek out antiques even when traveling for fun or on vacation and this one was a pleasant surprise. I purchased several pieces from that store.
Antique box used for staging is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
Stamped 10k inside.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 4 1/4. It weighs 2.1g. The ring face is 6.7mm north south and 4.2mm tall. The amethyst is about 8x4mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
As mentioned the stone is cracked on one edge with small flakes of loss at the surface. It is still held in place and stable but can catch the light . Natural inclusions to the amethyst under magnification. Sold as is. If it doesn't sell, I'll give it as a gift to one of my regular customers : ). The preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still wearable.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature : )
