This one has a nice size 1.1 carat center old European cut diamond that is eye clean, a wonderful fiery antique stone. It is beautifully accented by the halo of carre\/ trapezoid cut green emeralds that are channel set in a circle around the center. The piece has wonderful color and sparkle. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese designs are very popular in France so I was excited to find this one and the ruby halo around an old cut marquise diamond also listed in the shop.\u003cbr\u003e\nFound in Paris. French hallmark for platinum.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMEASUREMENTS:\u003cbr\u003e\nSize 9 1\/4\u003cbr\u003e\nRing face: 10.4mm north south, 5.8mm tall off the finger.\u003cbr\u003e\nWeight: 3.3g.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe diamond measures 6.6mm just measuring the exposed portion, it extends a bit further in the bezel. Conservative carat weight is 1.1 carat measuring while set. I would not remove it for an exact measurement.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:\u003cbr\u003e\nThe stones are well set But - the diamond bezel spins in the setting. It is in no danger of coming free because the underside of the bezel is a flange \/ curved to nest into the setting like a track or channel. The diamond is completely set tightly in the bezel and the bezel is very secure in the setting, but it just has the ability to spin and can click when you shake it due to the movement. I decided to sell it as is because if the ring were taken to be sized, the jeweler can affix it at that time if desired. Or it can be worn as a fidget spinner : ) because you can spin the bezel freely with your finger. ; ). I have a video of this movement, feel free to request it via instagram to give you a better idea of what I mean.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe diamond has one cloudy gray carbon spot that is hidden in the faceting and one smattering of three pinpoint carbon specks that are not eye visible. Excellent rainbow fire and not a lot of warmth to the stone, but can read a slight bit gray in some light, facing up brighter and much whiter in others. Excellent sparkle, a nice quality antique stone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the emeralds has some surface chips but they are shallow flakes of loss so the stones all still appear complete in the halo, it can only be seen when studying under magnification. Some unevenness from wear to the gold bezel. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and \/ or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )\u003cbr\u003e\nBut - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
