Antique Double Snake .75 Carat Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Ruby EMERALD Swirl Ring 18k Rose Gold Red Green Stacker

ABOUT:
Unique setting with red and green color and plenty of sparkle. To me, the design looks like two snake heads with the bypass setting. The natural rubies and emeralds are a fun contrast to the 26 sparkling old mine cut diamonds surrounding them.

I acquired this in Belgium on my recent inventory trip. I purchased this with some other pieces from a friend / partner of mine there early in my trip and proceeded to wear this one along with one other, all around Belgium and into France! So it carries with it many happy memories! : )

There is an old 18 stamp inside, it is crafted in 18k gold that appears quite rosy with a professionally polished finish.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
The ring is a size 6 1/4 on my mandrel, a little over but does not reach 6.5.

The ring face is 10.5mm north south.
The ring weight is 2.9 grams.

The 26 diamonds are 1 to 2mm each with the gemstones 1.5mm graduating to 2.3mm.
Exact depths of each are unknown and I would never remove them for exact carat weight but estimates to around 3/4 carat total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some small nicks to the gemstones seen mostly under strong magnification. Typical old mine cut diamonds with some natural frosty inclusions. Nothing dark or glaring and they have a nice color and sparkle.

This one does have some worn prongs as we often see for pieces of this age. Each stone has at least one that is worn back and most are around the outside edge. So it needs gentler wear. This could be reinforced for daily wear by your local jeweler if desired (you'd want to find someone with a laser welder and ask them to do the minimum possible vs. re-tipping every prong and unnecessarily over working the piece to make it "like new"). Most of my buyers prefer original condition and special occasion wear so I sell (and wear them) as is.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
