I always think of my sister in law who works in the medical field and has to put gloves on and off all day so her traditional prong set engagement ring doesn't work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo when I saw this in the window in Vienna I inquired right away.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd the sweet engravings on the shoulders including the vertical north south edges are so lovely.\u003cbr\u003e\nSuper comfortable and easy to wear and stack. The shoulders rise up with a bit of height to reach just under the bezel which is another component that smooths out the ring face.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eArt Deco era piece, easy to wear with wonderful sparkle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFound in Austria, worn hallmarks but tests at 14k in most places. It was sold to me as platinum which I am sure it is in some parts (top of the bezel, etc) but since it tests at 14k for the most part I am selling it as that.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAntique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMEASUREMENTS:\u003cbr\u003e\nSize: A snug 5 1\/2\u003cbr\u003e\nRing face: 6.6mm north south and 5.5mm tall off the finger.\u003cbr\u003e\nWeight: 2g.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe center diamond is 6.1mm but with a nice chunky depth so it comes to about one carat. I would not remove the stone for an exact measurement as it would destroy the setting so this is an estimate. The bezel encompasses the girdle edge as well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCONDITION NOTES:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe center stone is around an SI with an area of small speck inclusions all in one spot off to one side and not crossing into the table. This gets lost in the wonderful kozibe effect and outlining faceting of the antique diamond when the stone is face up so for the most part it is eye clean and only seen under magnification. No dark or glaring spots. Sold to me as K in color. Not a lot of warmth but can reflect a slight bit of gray, some of this from being bezel set (instead of propped up in prongs). One of the pics makes it read a bit warmer than it is but I included it because it showed the clarity well. Again it slants more gray than warm \/ yellow, see group shots for comparison against other diamonds. A bit of wear to the bezel and some rub marks at the base of the north south edges from stacking but stone is secure and does not move. I love this one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and \/ or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )\u003cbr\u003e\nBut - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
