Each earring holds two bezel set rose cut diamonds, the larger bottom stones are oval, the top are round. The little glittery glitters are held in migraine bezels. All in 18k glowing yellow gold. So often we find the diamonds on our antique pieces set in a white metal as was customary for the period so these are fun in that they are all yellow gold.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMinimalist in stature with their wonderful antique disco ball faceting, the rose cut twinkle with a dainty footprint on the ear which really allows the stones to be the star of the show, almost like the little rose cuts just float above the ear. The settings are fixed in that no portions dangle, they just hook into the earlobe and add sparkle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFound in Spain, No hallmarks which I have been finding after my last few trips is kind of common with pieces from Spain, but all parts 18k gold which is pretty much the norm there.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAntique Box IS Included! These old boxes are collectible and hold value. The box is not fitted for the earrings and is not original to them (I think it was a pin box), but I am including it as a gift because it's always fun to store our antique goodies in period appropriate housing : )\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail. These are dainty!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSIZE \u0026amp; MEASUREMENTS:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e10.5mm top to bottom.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe larger diamonds each measure about 5.7x4.5mm. Like most rose cuts, they are spready and face up much larger than their actual carat weight, appearing at around half carat each by mm. Again actual carat weight is much less and not really possible to determine without removing the stones to put them on a scale which I don't prefer to do for fear of damage to them.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe smaller stones measure about 2.5mm each.\u003cbr\u003e\nIf they were modern diamonds with pavilions the pair would wear similar to a 1.2 carat total pair (but again actual carat weight is less and unknown).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pair weighs just 1.5 grams combined.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:\u003cbr\u003e\nThe smaller stones have a little bit of frost, the bottom larger stones have a better clarity. One has a slightly eye visible carbon speck and a smattering of crystal spots that can catch the light in some conditions. The other has a crystal and carbon inclusion on the outside edge that is more visible from the side and shrinks when viewing the stone face up due to the angle of the inclusion. It continues up to the surface to leave a small indented natural inclusion that appears like a tiny crease under magnification. It is eye visible but being pushed closer to the bezel is not glaring. The stone is stable and well held.\u003cbr\u003e\nThese are all things that are typical for the period and that you can seek out in the zoomed photos which will highlight it much more than while wearing.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe ear posts latch perfectly and securely into the lever backs. Still I don't really ever recommend 24\/7 wear on any of my antique pieces due to the moving parts of 100 year old 18k gold (unless they are studs). The hinges aren't super tight and are not springy, but they close super securely so there would be no danger in wearing them all day and often, I just don't like the thought of lying down on 100 year old gold. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and \/ or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )\u003cbr\u003e\nBut - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
