ABOUT:
Awesome antique stacking ring in 18k gold with two bands interconnected / interlocking with a braided pattern on the front. So it wears like a wide band stacker with a nice braided, almost chain like pattern. May have been worn as a keeper ring, wedding ring, or puzzle ring representing commitment, unbreakable bonds, etc.
Note that this has been permanently welded together, but you can see in studying the fabrication that it was originally two separate pieces. There's even what looks to be a little heart detail on each side. Although romance aside, this makes a great stacker for really any occasion wear with its sturdy hand feel and interesting pattern and texture.
Found in England with their hallmarks for London, 18k Gold, Date 1911 along with some old maker's marks.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Currently a size 9. The ring face is 5.5mm north south and 2.5mm thick / deep off the finger. It weighs 4.7 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Rub marks to the vertical edges, looks like it was stacked for 100 years : ). But still super sturdy and ready for regular wear, this antique is not overly delicate.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
