Etruscan Revival One Cannetille Ball Rivet FRENCH Victorian Antique Hat Pin for Pendant Earring 18k Gold 2 Available

Listing is for one pin, but I have a matching pair - one slightly larger than the other. These are included in the wonderful category of French Regional antique jewelry. The two pins would have been connected by a chain and worn in the hats in the traditional French dress of the 1800s.

Ornate openwork cannetille detail to the 3D spheres with little ball rivet details.

The chain connecting them is no longer present so I am selling them individually to be worn as a stick pin, or to be converted. Next to the pin post there is a tiny loop where the chain would have been attached. The pin post could perhaps be removed by your local jeweler and the little loop used or replaced to have this converted to an ornate sphere pendant, charm or even a pair of earrings if you were to purchase both.

Again listing is for one. First to purchase can decide which of the two sizes. Chain is not included but I just laid the pin over it to show scale how it would look as a pendant.

French hallmark for 18k gold.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Both are 55mm long, .the larger sphere is 12mm, the other is 10mm. Piece weighs 1.5 and 1.1 grams.

Antique props, boxes, chains etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical age related wear but nothing glaring. Please see photos - Sold as is.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, small nicks. They also may have some build up and some imperfections and other age related wear, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still wearable.

Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
