FLORAL & LION Shield French Antique Tri Color 18k Gold ViCTORIAN Fob Pendant Watch Key

I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:

This is a two for one because each side has a totally different vibe. Special French Victorian antique watch key with shield shaped top. One one side is an applied 3D flower design with green gold stems and leaves and rose and green gold flowers. On the other is rampant lion, again in greenish yellow gold applied over the textured background of the shield. The body of the shield is a warm rosy gold from age and patina. This piece has so many elements to add interest and uniqueness, it is just fantastic to look at.

This could be worn as a chunky pendant, on a watch chain or chatelaine set - perfect to add to a neckmess or neckstack with a wonderful quality and sturdy hand feel weighing 8 grams. With all its design elements it makes a great conversation piece. I have a matching wax seal listed separately if a set is desired.

The loop has the French antique hallmark for 18k gold used primarily in the 1800s and discontinued by the early 1900s.

Chain is not included but it looks beautiful on a daintier chain or is substantial enough to be the centerpiece for a watch chain necklace.

MEASUREMENTS:

Weight of 6.4 grams. About 46mm tall to the top of the loop, the shield is 22x17mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

No major condition issues, just surface wear and patina. I just noticed a really old sticker inside in one pic. I can remove it if you like, just message me. : )

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
