Selling an assortment of antique jewelry that I have hunted for and gathered from all over the world to offer you. Some examples seen in the group photo.
ABOUT:
Perfectly stackable vintage to Art Deco wide band ring with open work floral details all the way around. Beautiful two tone coloring to the piece in 14k white and yellow gold. The top and bottom rim of the ring is in yellow gold and the center floral work is in white gold. This ring has a nice sturdy footprint on the hand so it is substantial enough to wear alone, but is also a great stacker, adding a nice texture and beautiful floral design to a ring stack in both white and / or yellow gold.
This ring was made by the JR Wood & Sons jewelry company, who were trend setters in the Victorian era and onward especially for wedding jewelry. The company was founded in the 1850s, and were the first to develop seamless, soldered eternity rings like these in the late 1800s. They made some of the best jewelry on the market in New York during that time.
HALLMARKS:
Stamped 14k with the JR Wood & Sons mark but also as another stamp in cursive that reads Art Carved, the name the JR Wood company added to their brand in the 1920s.
In really excellent condition with no dings dents. Just some surface wear and a little wear to the patterns from age.
Antique box is not included. Listing is for the one ring with the others in the stack shown for color comparison and scale.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 ¾. It weighs a sturdy 5.9 grams. The band is 7.6mm wide north to south.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
