ABOUT:
Beautiful French antique dangle earrings in 18k gold, each set with a white sapphire meant to look like a diamond. The sapphires in their pronged settings are connected by a loop to the base of the earring, but are still able to dangle and move independently to allow them to catch the light for more sparkle. There is an additional accent white sapphire at the top. The larger sapphires are about .35 carat each, total carat weight for all four stones is about 0.8 carat.
Belle Epoque era pair of earrings that I acquired in France. So dainty and romantic. It's wonderful the way the stones dangle allowing them to catch the light and sparkle while wearing.
Would be a beautiful something old for a bride.
Stamped on the wires with the French hallmark for 18k gold.
Antique box not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Dainty, so please note these measurements. They measure about 17mm top to bottom, the sapphires are 4.5mm each (so probably about .35 carats each?). They weigh 2.4g combined.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
As with all my pieces this is in estate condition. Some patina. Hinges and latches work well. Note they appear a bit frosty, they just need a bit more time in cleaning to the back of the stones.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
