I'm back from my inventory trip to France with Many "new" antique finds that I will be rolling out as fast as I can. I purchased severals rings, charms and pendants that I personally Love - lots of favs in this bunch. Please feel free to follow here or on Instagram for updates!

ABOUT:

Simple and elegant with a great antique look - French Georgian era rose cut diamond in foiled collet setting. The shank is a round, warm rosy 18k gold with the ring face topped in silver as was customary to set diamonds in a white metal. Beautiful patina, coloring and sparkle with a chunkier rose cut that domes up, no rust to the foil and no dark inclusions. Beautiful stacker or alone. Plenty of patina to the silver and the gold from age.

Exact depth and thereby carat weight is unknown as I would never remove it from the setting. But like most rose cuts they have a lower carat weight but the surface area gives it the appearance of a larger carat stone. The center stone's visible portion (as it widens out some in the collet) is 5 by 3.7mm. The collet setting is 6x6.4mm by 5.2mm deep. Size 8 and weighs 1.75 grams.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

HALLMARKS:
There's a strike on the shank but I can't decipher it. Sold to me as 18k which is the standard in France and tested to confirm.

Antique box is not included.

CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Typical antique diamond, it reads just slightly warm in some light but compared to many it has a wonderful coloring with no dark rust or spotty discoloration. Looking through the stone, you can see a black dot in the bottom, that reflects around the stone. This is not an inclusions as it is not within the stone, but a black dot fabrication as often seen with black dot paste. The underside of the ring face is dented but this is not seen while wearing.

Lots of patina which could be cleaned up but most of my buyers prefer original condition. Still a fun stacker with a wonderful antique look. But due to age, please note this is not a mint condition item. These need more careful wear as the closed / foiled settings should not get wet as the moisture causes deterioration to the foil and discoloration.

Feel free to request more photos, I have plenty more than the 10 allotted here.

Will be sent with additional insurance, expedited delivery and signature confirmation upon delivery at my cost.
