There are three little rose cuts on each end for added sparkle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA late Victorian era to early 1900s piece, it is crafted entirely in rich and buttery, glowing 18k gold with silver prongs holding up each of the gems, allowing them to crop out of the face of the bracelet to catch the light. Please note the measurements, I have a small wrist and am required to present zoom photos so it can be hard to determine scale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSecure bangle to wear with safety chain and latch. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlso lovely to find that there are no real ripples or deep dings as sometimes found on antique bangles. It is quite sturdy with a tight hinge and a strong clickity clack latch. : ). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFound in Paris with the French hallmarks for 18k gold and a goldsmith stamp on the tongue insert. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMEASUREMENTS:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMeasuring 6.7mm north south at the widest area and stands 7.6mm tall off the wrist, give or take. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's difficult to measure the exact inside circumference but it is around 6 1\/2 inches trying to wrap a tape measure around the inside. I have a 5 1\/2 inch wrist and it is too big for me, it won't slip off my hand, but could fit a larger wrist better, as the stones can spin around to the underside on my wrist. The inside measurements measuring the cross sections (to compare with your bracelets at home or to draw it out for scale) are 55mm by 50mm oval. The safety chain is a little over 2.5 inches long to expand it when open.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt weighs 14.4 grams.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe largest stones start at 3.3mm, the smallest on each end, tapering up to 4.7mm at the center (almost half carat).\u003cbr\u003e\nI would never remove the stones from the antique piece for an exact measurement, but I measured each stone under magnification coming to a total of about 4.2 carats total weight in topaz. Exact depths are unknown as I could not reach them with my caliper as they are set so this is an estimate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe push button clasp is very strong with the added safety chain as well. The hinge is as sturdy as can be found. Not a lot of quirks to the stones like we would typically find in antique diamond pieces of this age because topaz were more abundant at that time. No chips or cracks or glaring condition issues, they are all bright and well matching. No distracting large inclusions. A worn prong here or there but none of the stones move.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and \/ or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )\u003cbr\u003e\nBut - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
