This Victorian era engagement ring is from the 1800s, I purchased it in Paris and it has the best antique patina! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe antique old mine cut diamond is about .45 carat and is suspended in an open back buttercup setting with beautiful scalloped layers which add an ornateness to the ring face. Would be a beautiful and unique engagement ring or the perfect stacker ring. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlso exciting to find the prongs are in excellent condition so this one can handle regular wear which we love to find on 150 year old pieces!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFound in France with their hallmark for 18k gold.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAntique box is not included.\u003cbr\u003e\nPlease note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSIZE \u0026amp; MEASUREMENTS:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSize 6\u003cbr\u003e\nThe diamond is about 4.75x4.4mm and a nice chunky cut measuring about .45 carat.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe piece weighs 2.15 grams. It is 9.8mm north south and stands 6.7mm off the finger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:\u003cbr\u003e\nBetter than most condition for age.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe diamond has a small crystal crescent moon and a pocket inclusion with some flecks of carbon under magnification but it does not appear as a dark or inky spot. There is also a carbon pocket inclusion on the underside of the stone that is somewhat hidden in the faceting but can reflect a bit of frost. Delicious slight warmth to the antique stone, desired for the period since the mines in use at the time produced warmer rough. This is all typical for antique stones and seen when studying the piece under magnification, to the eye with normal wear it is less visible unless you are seeking it out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStable and ready to wear.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and \/ or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )\u003cbr\u003e\nBut - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
