Another personal collection release that I have enjoyed wearing - just too many rings and not enough fingers. : )

Very unique antique fede ring with striking appearance on the finger. The body of the ring is in 10k gold (tested). Inlaid into the gold frame is a stained black horn giving the piece a bold look. Then on the top is applied a handshake motif - this portion of the ring is gold filled as we can see wear from years and years leading to the brass underneath.

In Georgian and Victorian times, the handshake motif pieces were a symbol of betrothal, agreement, friendship and commitment, including marriage. Would be beautiful in a ring stack or as a unique pinky or midi ring.

I got this one in France. Love figural pieces. Note the small size - this bride had a tiny hand. I have small fingers and fits me but only on my pinky. Or could be a midi ring depending on your size.

There are some very old stamps on the inside, one looks like a very old font "16." but I don't know what they indicate. The inside tests strong at 10k gold, I didn't test the handshake because I can see the underlying brass.

Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

Size 3 1/4, The band face is 5mm north to south, the handshake is 10mm east west, it weighs 0.6g.

Wear to the gold fill handshake motif to the warmer underlying brass but still very clear, legible and a nice shine. Quite a lot of patina on the inside of the shank. There is a seam inside but I don't think the piece was ever sized because the inlaid horn is continuous.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
