ABOUT:
A figural ring with the ring face depicting an iris flower. Georgian era piece with a closed and foil backed setting holding the rose cuts which are all uniquely hand chiseled.
In the language of flowers, the iris represented faith, courage, hope, royalty and wisdom.
I love floral jewelry and this one has a nice size ring face with recognizable pattern. It looks as if it might have been converted or rescanned as there are varying patinas, solder and tool marks to the back not visible when wearing.
Found in Paris. French hallmarks for 18k gold and silver.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

CONDITION NOTES:
This one needs a bit gentler wear, as you should avoid getting it wet with the foiled back. Typical antique rose cuts with some natural inclusions and slightly warm to gray to pink hues from aging to the foil back but still a nice sparkle and a great antique look. Patina and as mentioned above the solder inside the ring face not seen while wearing.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
