ABOUT:
Sturdy unisex wide band ring with octagon face and beveled shoulders. At the center is an Old European Cut diamond in a milgrain bezel. This is surrounded by a halo of rose cuts for added sparkle. Great stacker with a nice quality hand feel.
French hallmarks for 18k gold..
Antique box not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Measures size 9 1/4 . The diamond is 4mm give or take, as it widens out an unknown amount in the bezel and I would not remove it. Probably around 1/3 carat / 0.3Ct? Adding to that the ten outlining rose cuts which are around 1.5mm each. Ring face measures 10mm north south and 3.5mm tall. It weighs 6.6 grams.
CONDITION NOTES:
The center diamond is wonderful with just a tiny nibble seen only under strong magnification and no inclusions that I could find. Typical antique rose cut diamonds with some nicks and rough edges, may have always been that way as this is pretty much how they always look on pieces of this age. Beautiful color and sparkle to the eye.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
