Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
This one is so ornate and sparkly with the wide footprint on the finger and the scalloped outline of diamonds set east west around the center three diamonds. 19 antique diamonds in all encrust the ring face.

The diamonds are mostly old mine cuts with a few smaller rose cuts intentionally added at each ring shoulder, three on each side. All original antique condition. I love the scale of it with the old mine cuts slightly graduating in size. There is open work detail around the three center stones to make them look like they are floating amidst all the other glitter. It also has a slight bit of height with an openwork gallery. I like wearing it with a yellow gold band because I love a mixed metal stack.

I purchased this in France, it is from the Art Deco period, crafted in 18k white gold with the ring face topped in platinum. No hallmarks remain can be common for French pieces but their standard is 18k and I tested all the parts to confirm.

Antique box not included.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:

Size 5, just slightly over. Should be sizable within reason, usually they say within 2 sizes is a good guide. Under magnification only I can see a faint seam at each shoulder. May have been the original fabrication or it was possibly sized this way to avoid bending the ring face. Best to discuss with your local jeweler who would be doing the work to determine their comfort level.

Weighs 4 grams. The ring face is 14.4mm north south and 5.4mm tall off the finger to the raised crown of the tallest center diamond. The rest of the piece is about 4mm tall.

The three center stones are 4.3mm for the largest and 3.5mm. The ten old mine cuts on the north and south ends are 2.5 to 2.9mm each. The six rose cuts are 1.7 to 2.1mm. Total carat weight is at least 1.5 carat total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Many of the diamonds are eye clean. A few have some some faint natural frosty inclusions. One of the outlining diamonds has a linear swath of gray carbon that is eye visible but other than that, no dark or inky carbon spots so overall nothing glaring. A few very small indented natural inclusions here or there and one frosty unpolished facet to one of the smaller stones which is just how it was hand cut. The rose cuts also have some frosty unpolished areas but again seen mostly. under magnification. Slightly varying warm hues typical for the period when the stones were cut from mines that produced warmer rough but again this is more seen when studying each stone. You can seek this out in the video in the direct sunlight, which highlights it much more than with normal wear, but I wanted to capture the sparkle despite the fact that the sun tends to light up warmth. As seen in the photos and video they are overall well matching and quite bright and lively. Age appropriate surface wear but the bead prongs are still quite good so while I don't recommend 24/7 wear on really any of my antique pieces, this one is not particularly delicate or fragile which is nice! Such a beauty.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

SOCIAL:
Please feel free watch @mouseshouseantiques on Instagram for inventory drops, sneak peaks and previews!
