ABOUT:
A lucky or romantic French antique medal / pendant in tricolor 18k gold with green applied clover and initials engraved on the front "S M?"
The back is also personalized: "A ma Simone" in French ("to my Simone") with the year of 1922.
Gorgeous tricolor gold work with the green gold clover leaf, the overall rich antique yellow gold body and the rosy gold engravings to contrast. Found in France, their love medals and good luck charms are fun to collect, mix and match. French hallmark for 18k gold, it is worn and a bit difficult to decipher but you can see the shape and hallmark strike / impression which I have seen thousands of times.
Listing is for the one item in the cover photo, while the group shot helps to show scale and shows some of the other pieces I have available.
Antique props, chain, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to show scale in the photos with the zoom that is required for detail.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some shallow bends giving it a very slight ripple, a gradual linear curve or shadow appearance along with some surface scratches, all more notable in areas with the mirrored finish. These are always quite thin so they often have some curves : ) but definitely still wearable. Some wear to the loop as well from the gold rubbing on the bale over 100 years but again still stable and no chance of snapping unless it were to be pulled really really hard while secured to a chain.
Beautiful rich and warm patina to the antique gold which could be polished up if desired but most of my buyers prefer original patina. I noticed some of the photos in the warm autumn sun reflected a sort of brassy hue which is not indicative of the piece. The cover photo is a more true to life indication of the color.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
