Victorian Antique Floral 18k Gold PEARL 3D Figural Dangle Dormeuse Panel Lozenge EARRINGs

Next up from my recent inventory trip. I found this one in the cutest little town in Belgium which was a happy surprise, as I had just stopped there to drink a Stella and take a break en route between markets. : ) But I ended purchasing several pieces there including these.

I have had many of these dormeuse style earrings over the years, and these I feel are quite special. I love the 3D flowers that are set with pearls, with the intricate stems and leaves providing such a wonderful detail. I think they are either daisies or forget me nots?

These are a bit larger in size than many dormeuse earrings, with sturdy ear wire hooks that have a catch at the back so they are a bit easier to wear. With such a striking coloring and texture of two tone gold where the round platform is a matte finish rich antique yellow gold, and the applied details with carved petals are a rose gold. Looking at this two tone fabrication, I believe they are French in origin, although no hallmarks remain. They read as yellow gold but with warmth from the rosy areas. Really wonderful fabrication. Sold to me from a reputable source as 18k and tested to confirm.

Would be a beautiful something old for a bride.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

They measure about 18mm top to bottom, the lozenge part is 14mm wide. Combined weight is 2.9g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

As with all my pieces this is in estate condition. Not much to report, they are in very nice condition considering age. I can see some build up around the pearls, one has a crack and another appears to be a replacement, but I would exercise extreme caution in cleaning them, as I did not want to get them wet and potentially knock loose any of the stones, as I don't feel the build up is very apparent to the eye. One has a small ripple to the outside rim of the circular lozenge, and an area where the underlying rose gold is visible, I think from a scratch test (not done by me) As with all my pre-owned pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item. So legible and sweet though.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
