Antique .5 Carat Tdw Old Mine Cut DIAMOND French Gypsy Band Ring Chunky Stacker 18k Gold Victorian

ABOUT:
Popularly stackable old mine cut diamond gypsy band. This French antique piece is a Paris find crafted in 18k gold. It is unique in that it has a nice and chunky center old mine cut, but has four additional old mine and single cut diamonds at each shoulder set flush into the band for added sparkle. Adding to its charm are the linear engravings around the domed ring face.
This ring has great geometry.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
The ring is a loose size 5 but does not reach the 5 1/2 line. The center diamond is about .4 carat, measuring about 5x4mm. The eight side diamonds are each 1 to 1.5mm.

The ring face is 8mm north south and domes 3.8mm off the finger.
The ring weight is 2.9 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamond with the slightest warmth but faces up quite bright and white. Nice to see the beautiful center stone is eye clean as we often see more inclusions during the period, before such things were emphasized for machine cut diamonds. Just a few tiny speck inclusions seen only under strong magnification. The side diamonds have some frosty spots and one has a chip with flakes of loss to one side leaving a frosty unpolished area but they are small side stones so it is not glaring, however it is eye visible that the one stone is out of round.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
