ABOUT:
Beautiful and sparkly little teardrop pendant in 18k White Gold and Platinum. At the center is an old mine cut diamond and surrounding it with additional diamonds encrusting the bale are little old single cut diamonds. Plenty of opportunity to catch the light and glitter with the 15 old cut diamonds.
It has hallmarks but I can't decipher them. I believe they are French marks that are overlapping but sold to me from a reputable source in France as 18k and platinum.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. I like to include group shots to give an idea of size for comparison as well.
MEASUREMENTS:
21mm top to bottom by 8mm wide.
The center diamond is about 4mm cushion shape, the fourteen smaller diamonds are around 1.8mm with a one measuring 1.3mm at the smallest space at the bottom of the bale. I would not remove the stones for exact measurements but it is around 0.6 carat total weight in diamonds.
10mm end to end by 6.4mm diameter. Weight is 1.4 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds with some faint warmth under lit magnification but. No damage to any of the stones. Also some typical natural inclusions, a faint frosty speck here and there. Nothing distracting, no dark carbon spots.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
