ABOUT:
Sturdy French antique emerald solitaire with rose cut diamonds accenting each shoulder. The ring face is solid / thick at the shoulders leading up to the emerald to give the piece a nice height in addition to its color and sparkle. This is great for a ring stack because the height makes it stack well with other bands.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6. Ring face is 5.5mm north south and 4.5mm tall of the finger. Weight is 3.9 grams. The diamond are each about 2.5mm give or take. The emerald is 4x3.5mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The emeralds have natural linear inclusions within the stone. Under magnification the diamonds have some frosty spots which is mostly buildup from behind as it looks like it may have originally been closed back for the diamonds and they were opened to allow light to pass through but only partially so the backs are still hard to reach. Could be gently cleaned better with a little more time as it is all open backed now.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
