ABOUT:
The sweetest little diamond solitaire ring with a .55 carat old mine cut diamond that is eye clean! Adding to that, it displays the most lovely pale yellow color with rich buttery 18k gold setting that has rosy hues from age and patina.
I love the elegant antique setting with the ring shoulders thick and angling up, coming to a point which serves as a prong on each side. So while the piece has 4.4mm of height for stacking, it wears like a low profile ring because the stone doesn't sit tall in prongs above the shank. Instead, the shank becomes the prongs.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 1/2.
The diamond is about 5mm. I wouldn't remove it from the setting but it is around .55 carat.
The piece weighs 2.9 grams. It stands 4.4mm off the finger.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Not even a nibble to the diamond. Also uncommon for antique diamonds, it is eye clean. With only the faintest tiny speck inclusions seen under strong magnification. The shank is very sturdy. There are two worn prongs but the other prongs surround the diamond on all sides so it does not budge. It is ready for daily wear.
The diamond seems to vary in hue based on the lighting. It isn't a vibrant yellow so in ambient light, it appears as a slight warmth while wearing which is actually sought after in antique diamonds by some collectors. (Put me in the club of those who prefer diamonds like these over colorless!). The yellow hue brightens in sunlight, and under lit magnification has a slightly green hue. What a wonderful stone!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
