ABOUT:
Interesting antique signet ring in 9k gold with hand carved heraldic design with a lion's head will foliage above and the initial D below. My hubs thinks the image is of a tree rooted in the ground, but perhaps you can be the judge? Scrolling across the top is a banner that reads "Justitia Et Honoir" for "Justice and Honor". It is written legibly, not in reverse as is the case with some wax seal rings. Beautiful blue color.
Wonderful hand engraved design, with warm slightly rosy patina to the antique gold. The shoulders are wide and taper towards the back of the shank but remains sturdy all the way around.
British hallmarks for 9k, Birmingham, 1929. It also has a French hallmark for 9k on the back outside of the shank meaning it was made in Birmingham but brought into France for the French market.

MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is about a size 6 3/4. The stone measures about 9mm square and weighs 4.2 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition. No chips, deep dings, glaring condition issues. Just surface wear. It's really pretty. Lovely gold work and very sturdy hand feel.
But of course due to age - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. And it needs gentle wear because a hard knock could cause the fissure to widen on the face of the stone. Sold as is.
