ABOUT:

The sparkle glitter on this one! I love old cut diamonds and can't seem to carry enough clusters but this one really struck in the sparkle department. Each little rose cut diamond is like a little disco ball that catches the light. Most of my clusters are old mine cuts, and when I do find them with rose cuts, they are often closed back. This one has the ease of wear of an open back but with the unique antique reflectivity of the rose cuts. The floral daisy cluster face is accented by an additional rose cut in each of the raised shoulder details. Crafted in a rosy 18k gold, the ring face and shoulders are topped in platinum as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal. Nice secure prongs making this one ready for daily wear.

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold.
Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4. The center diamond is about 3.5mm. The ring weighs 3.2 grams. The ring face is 11mm north south.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The center diamond has a triangular chip / loss in one area. Sorrows, sorrows, but we see this sometimes on antique pieces, especially with rose cuts that have flat backs where the girdle edges of the stone can get nicked. To be honest, I don't find it a deal breaker, as the diamond floats above the platinum setting which gives it that bright white surround, so to really see it you have to turn the ring to the side and study that edge - but this is eye visible. Both diamonds in the shoulders and one of the smaller stones in the halo have some nicks / shallow chips / flakes of loss leaving a frosty unpolished area - this is mostly seen under magnification. Also typical for antique diamonds, some faint natural inclusions. No dark carbon spots or anything glaring, and some of the frosty spots you see in photos are actually just buildup. I did give it a light cleaning but try not to aggressively scrub my antique pieces.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still wearable.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
