ABOUT:

Beautiful French antique dangle earrings in two colors - buttery 18k gold topped in platinum as was customary to set the diamonds in a white metal. Each earrings holds a larger center old mine cut diamond surrounded by a halo of rose cuts. The circular diamond settings dangle freely from a linear gold post to allow them to catch the light for more sparkle. At the top near the ear wire is an additional OMC diamond as a little sparkly accent.

Belle Epoque era pair of earrings that I acquired in France. So romantic with the buttery antique gold with the old cut diamonds. But with a still relevant geometric look.

Would be a beautiful something old for a bride.

French hallmarks for 18k and platinum on each post.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

They measure about 15mm top to bottom, the larger diamonds are about 3mm each (so probably about .15 carats each?) and the smaller are each about 1 to 1.5mm. They weigh 3.5g combined.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Considering age, the hinges and latches are as good as they come. Nice and springy, snap closed and latch perfectly.

As with all my pieces this is in estate condition. Typical antique old mine cut diamonds with a slight warmth and some natural inclusions seen under magnification, it is not glaringly visible to the eye as they are dainty. The rose cuts are also typical, rougher cut, some appearing quite frosty under magnification, one with some loss along one edge but again not glaring because they are small. That one does appear to have been nibbled but with the others, they were likely always cut that way as they are the small rough cuts to add a glint of sparkle. The gold is beautiful and it is a very sweet pair. Some surface wear and scratches from wear over the years. But as with all my pre-owned pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item.
