ABOUT:
I can't seem to acquire enough of these antique halo rings, the few I have found are always very popular. Lovely French antique Art Nouveau ring in 18k gold with a deep pink garnet surrounded by a halo of buttery gold designed with laurel leaves and little forget me not flowers. Very romantic design from the Belle Epoque period.
Openwork design to the ring face with banded shoulders. Fun to wear and stack.
HALLMARKS:
French hallmark for 18k.
MEASUREMENTS:
Sz 6 3/4, ring face 12x10mm, stone 7x5mm, 1.9grams. The shank is quite thin in the back including the hallmarked area. Something to discuss with your jeweler if sizing is desired.
CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition, especially considering age. The stone is abraided, sorrows sorrows. But we find this sometimes on these old pieces. The outside facets have a matte finish and wear to where the facets are not really present. The table has some nicks but a better shine. It does test as a garnet / tourmaline.
The shank is rippled, a bit thin and out of round. Selling as is.
