ABOUT:
I can't seem to acquire enough of these antique halo rings, the few I have found are always very popular. Lovely French antique Art Nouveau ring in 18k gold with a red garnet surrounded by a halo of buttery gold designed with laurel leaves and little forget me not flowers. Very romantic design from the Belle Epoque period.
Openwork design to the ring face with banded shoulders. Fun to wear and stack.
HALLMARKS:
No hallmarks remain which is common for French pieces as they are marked in the back and often lost during a sizing. But sold to me from a reputable source in France where the standard is 18k and tested to confirm.

Sz 5 1/2, ring face 16x11mm, stone 7x5mm, 3g,
CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition, especially considering age. The stone is abraided, sorrows sorrows. But we find this sometimes on these old pieces. One half especially has a matte finish. Some inclusions or linear marks inside the stone, it is possible it may be a doublet but I cannot view the girdle of the stone to know for sure. It does test as a garnet.
The Garland design has softened some from wear but still legible. It looks like the bezel was fortified? It is still complete and holds the stone securely but appears uneven in areas as seen in photos. Selling as is.
