AS IS Large Spring Ring French ANTIQUE 2g 18k Gold Solid 17mm Loop Pendant Holder Connector Extender

This one is missing the little ball rivet detail to open the spring ring which is why I am selling it at well under half the cost of my last sold one. Still a useful piece in solid 18k gold to wear as a pendant, connector, extender to connect two chain ends, etc. but you'd have to use a dog clip or split ring to hook things to it unless you manually pry it open, which takes some doing and is hard on the fingernails : ).

Sometimes these were made to manually pry open, but they would usually have a fatter rim to hold onto to pull it open whereas this one did originally have the little bead to grab onto.

There are plenty of reproductions of these made but this is an actual French antique piece and I don't scrap antiques even when imperfect. It has a gorgeous patina in glowing antique 18k gold.

Antique box and additional slides, pendants, chains, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos where I am required to show zoomed in photos for detail. That is one reason I include a group shot to hopefully help show scale : ).

Partial hallmark on the vertical edge of the loop, hard to decipher from wear but French 18k gold.

MEASUREMENTS:
17mm in diameter. Weight is a little over 2g. The piece is solid 18k gold except for the spring which is steel.

See notes above, sold as is, priced accordingly as I don't scrap antiques that are still wearable.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
