ABOUT:
Beautiful and sturdy antique 3 opal ring in 18k gold and platinum. The opals are a light iridescent color with flecks of green and blue, orange and yellow. Along the outside of the large ring face it is encrusted with old single cut diamonds in platinum topped bezels.
I love turning the ring to the side and looking at the ornate scrolling engraved details on the vertical edges of each ring shoulder.
Lovely coloring with a great hand feel and a nice presence on the finger.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 8 1/2. The center opal is 7mm oval and the others are 5mm round. Diamonds are small about 1 mm. It stands 7 mm off the finger. It weighs 5 g.
CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Sturdy piece. Surface of the opals have a bit of a matte finish from wear to the soft stones, but there are no glaring issues, no chips or cracks, and they still reflect the light beautifully. The center Opal does move in the setting, but it's completely secure in the long prongs. Typical antique diamonds with some light or cloudy inclusions, but they are small, and this is not visible to the eye. Some surface wear and patina but no major issues. But with all my items - Please note this is not a mint condition item.
