Personal collection release (just can't keep all the preciouses). : )
Wonderful Belle Epoque era antique French ring center ruby, trumpeted swirling designs set with rose cut diamonds, and little flowers formed of pearls. The piece is in 18k yellow gold topped in platinum as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal. Textbook Art Nouveau design with open work swirls and large footprint on the finger.

Beautiful form to this setting, highlighted by the sparkling old cut diamonds and the little pearl flowers.

Antique box not included.

Antique French hallmark used in the 1800s for 18k gold. Additional hallmarks as well for 18k and maker.

Currently measures a size 7 1/4. The ring face is 24mm by 14mm, center ruby is 3mm and the diamonds are small, 1-1.5mm each.

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition. One of the tiny red stones in the center of the pearl flower is a replacement, it is more red and does not test on a gem tester. The other little red gemstone and the larger center one both test as ruby. The larger pearls to left and right of center look great but the smaller pearl have some wear. One appears to be a glass bead with loss to the coating which is visible to the eye, Another is cracked with loss to the underside. Some of the others have wear to the layers and I can see some adhesive residue under magnification. They still appear complete to the eye because they are fully round, very legible floral designs. Center ruby is in great shape. Typical antique diamonds, rough cut rose cut shards with rough or frosty edges, nicks, natural inclusions, likely have always been that way - they are so small they were just meant to add a glint of sparkle. Surface wear but so ornate and beautiful. My disclaimer as always since I deal primarily in antique pieces - this is not a mint condition item.

Very sweet piece from a very special era. I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )
