ABOUT:
This is a personal collection release. I love stackable bands and this one adds a wonderful pop of blue color to a ringstack. Antique stacker band set with five carre cut blue sapphires - all displaying wonderfully vibrant true blue hues. The geometry of the square cut stones is further accented by scroll work at each shoulder and openwork details in the gallery below the ring face.
Beautiful alone and fun to layer as it has a nice height to the ring face to wear next to a lower band. No hallmarks remain, tests at 18k.
Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
A snug Size 6 1/2, the ring face is 4.4mm north to south and 3.8mm tall of the finger. It weighs 2.4 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some scuffs, scratches and abrasions to the sapphires that can catch the light. Linear silk / needle rutile natural inclusions create a chevron pattern within some of the sapphires. Under lit magnification they can catch the light and reflect out almost like a star sapphire but with just linear needles of glow instead of the starburst shape. One stone has sone creases to the underside that must be inclusions carrying out to the pavilion, that can catch the light within the stone, but it is not cracked. All the stones are stable. Some wear to the bezel but no stones move, it just appears a bit uneven under magnification.
Please note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
