ABOUT:
Unique and striking French vintage ring with a teardrop shaped sugarloaf cabochon chrysoprase edged with single cut diamonds along the pointed side. Glowing and vibrant green color with the sparkle of the diamonds, you can wear it pointed up or down so it is fun to layer and stack and really adds a pop with the glossy color.
French hallmarks for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.
Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently about a size 6 1/4. The ring face is 20x9mm. The chrysoprase is about 16x6.5mm. It stands 9mm tall off the finger. Weighs 3.9g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A tiny edge of buildup around the rounded side at the base of the chrysoprase that looks like adhesive. It was not eye visible to me until I studied it under magnification, the ring face appears clean with a lovely sheen, color and gumdrop gem. Note that the post used to set the stone is visible when viewing the stone from the side. This is how it was made so it is not a condition issue but I thought I'd mention it.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
