CHUNKY 14mm Cigar BAND Extra Wide French Antique Foiled Citrine Ring 18k Rose Gold

I am back from my inventory trips to Europe and listing an assortment of hand picked antique jewelry which I have selected one at a time from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:

This one packs a punch! SUPER wide cigar band ring with oval citrine in a closed back setting. The 14mm shank remains that wide all the way around, holding the oval golden citrine front and center in a raised bezel. It clearly has quite a bit of age to it with some natural deterioration and spotting to the back inside the closed setting. So it is definitely an older piece, I'm just not exactly sure when it was made, but with a great retro vibe. The sturdy gold is a warm rosy gold which makes a beautiful contrast with the golden rich yellow color of the large citrine. There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it reflects its surroundings.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pics. Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 1/4 on my mandrel, I believe it fits more like a 5 since the shank is so wide as to displace the finger. The stone is large, 12x9mm. the shank is 14mm all the way around, the piece weighs a sturdy 7.8g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Uniform surface wear throughout, notable due to the mirrored finish of the huge shank. Some wear to the bezel but the stone is secure. Some warmth and cloudy spots from aging behind the citrine. Surface scuffs and abrasions to the facets when they catch the light.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
