CLUSTER Antique KITE Ring .5 Carat Old Mine Cut Diamond Cluster Grid Ring Antique 18k Gold

I take regularly scheduled inventory trips to Europe and around the USA to find unique antique items to bring you! I recently completed two Spring trips (see my instagram to follow along! : ). ABOUT:

If you follow me you know I love geometry in my antique jewelry. I always seek out panel / grid / lozenge rings (what's your favorite way to refer to these?) and this is such a fun one because it has a dramatic kite shape. Wonderful sparkle from twelve chunky diamonds set into the face totaling around half a carat. They are all old mine cut except one is a brilliant cut, likely a replacement. They are set in bead prongs giving the ring face a wonderful texture. I love this one.

Found in England, stamped 18CT inside for 18k gold.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 3/4.

The diamonds are each 1.8 to 2.5mm. Some chunkier cuts totaling around half a carat total weight. The ring face is 15mm north south and 10mm east west. The piece weighs 2.45grams.

CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some natural inclusions, some frosty, others warm in color. These are eye visible but overall not overly glaring as the stones aren't that large. Typical for the period some have a slight warmth which many antique collectors love to see as these were hand cut long before the Four C's were invented. They vary slightly in hue adding a unique antique sparkle. As mentioned one diamond is a brilliant cut replacement which can reflect the light a bit differently.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
