ABOUT:

Sweet antique cluster ring with center old mine cut diamond raised in gold prongs surrounded by a halo of rose cut diamonds. It's dainty - please see measurements to help visualize as I am required to show detailed / zoom photos in the listing.

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold. The shank has a lovely warm, rosy hue.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 3/4
Weight: 2.6g
Ring face north south measurement: 9mm
Height off the finger: 5.2mm

The old mine cut is about 3.7mm, around .2 to 1/4 carat alone.
The rose cut diamonds each measure about 1.5mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The old mine cut is eye clean with excellent prongs.

Typical old rose cut diamonds with some inclusions, nicks, frosty and irregular edges, they may have always been that way as they were rough cut by hand and this is how they typically look. They are small so this is not super visible to the eye, they just add a nice little glint of sparkle. They are quite thinly sliced, also typical for the period. Some of what you see is lotion / soap behind, I couldn't quite get at the small bezels to perfectly clean them and I don't like to overly scrub my antiques.

The inside of the shank is blunt and can catch against the finger. Once on, I did not find it uncomfortable to wear but sliding it off and on you can feel the gold as it has worn thin there inside the ring face.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
