ABOUT:
Fun geometry and lovely sparkle to this four stone ring with cruciform shape. I got this one in Paris. The two larger stones are transitional cuts with the two smaller being old mine single cuts. Wonderful sparkle to this stacker.
French hallmarks for 18k gold and platinum.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale.
Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 4 3/4. It is 11mm north to south on the finger and 5mm tall off the finger.
The largest transitional cut diamonds are about 4mm each with the smaller about 2mm. Without removing them / just using estimates it is around .55 carat total weight in diamonds.
The piece weighs 4.1g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The two largest stones have an area of inclusions over about 1/4 of each stone, with some carbon and quite a bit of frostiness in those areas. Sorrow, sorrows, but we do tend to see this with antique diamonds. They are nice and bright and white with lovely sparkle but the inclusions can catch the light and become eye visible. The smaller stones have nibbles and shallow flakes of loss but they are smaller and still appear complete while wearing. A worn prong here or there, typical and expected on a piece of this age. Something to keep an eye on over time.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
