ABOUT:
Beautiful French antique 18k gold pendant with openwork design depicting daisy flowers and leaves. Wonderful Art Nouveau piece from the French Belle Epoque period. Two dainty chains lead up to the bow which has a loop to serve as the bale. From the bottom dangles a small pearl.
This is an antique that I acquired in France. I love the ornate design and the wonderful gold patina with rosy and buttery highlights. The gold has a beautiful satin finish to the textured areas creating contrast and depth, it also helps mask surface wear compared to a polished gold piece with a mirrored finish.
It is hallmarked on the loop of the daisy portion with the French hallmark for 18k gold.
Any props are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
It dangles 2 inches (50mm) from the top of the bow to the bottom of the pearl dangle. It is 26mm wide.
It weighs 2.1g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Some patina and dark areas in the recesses from age. Surface wear as expected. The gold texture and color and glow is wonderful and it wears beautifully.
But my disclaimer with all my estate pieces - due to age, please note this piece is not in mint condition.
