I am back from my inventory trip to Europe with quite a lot of antique treasures to share with you! I also have one additional inventory trip to Europe early this summer so I will be rolling out new pieces almost every week from now, all the way until the holidays. Please stay tuned and feel free to follow on Instagram!

ABOUT:

The romantic one with the little secret - this dated antique band has two panel doors, one on each side that are hinged at the back, so that you can open the ring at the shoulders of each side revealing open space within the ring where it could have held braided hair or some other small memento. Tooled edges and raised and engraved designs on each panel, so many wonderful elements. At the center is a cartouche with a monogram LLB. Inside the ring is engraved "June 14, 1895, Venice". I wish I knew the stories this piece could tell and what happebed that day in Venice : ) I actually acquired the piece in Scandinavia but I don't know where it originated, it is stamped 18k inside.

For being such an intricate antique, the piece is quite sturdy with a nice hand feel. With the eternity band design, it is beautiful to wear, and of course the secret panels make it such a great conversation piece.

MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6. 4.7mm north to south and 2.2mm thick / deep. It weighs a sturdy 3.5 grams.

Quite uncommon and special.

Antique box is not included.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Completely sturdy and stable, one panel bows ever so slightly but this is not noticeable while wearing. The gold panels flex to allow you to gently open them at the rivet details and uses tension to be held in place once guided back into the little slots under the ring face. I have been handling it a lot and am surprised at the sturdiness, clearly well made and high quality. But always recommend a gentle hand when dealing with tiny, intricate, 130 year old hinges! : )

I dearly love, collect, use and sell antiques so please check out my other listings and thanks so much for stopping by my shop!
