ABOUT:
A romantic French antique medal / pendant in tricolor 18k gold with rose floral design, green applied leaf/ vine and initials engraved on the front "A N ?"
The back is also engraved: "20 Mars 1916" in French for March 20, 1916.
Gorgeous tricolor gold work with the green gold applied leaf, the overall rich antique yellow gold body and the rosy gold flower, trim and engravings to contrast. Found in France, their love medals and good luck charms are fun to collect, mix and match. French hallmark for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.
The rose motif was popular in olden times in jewelry as it represents love, romance and passion.
Listing is for the one item in the cover photo, while the group shot helps to show scale and shows some of the other pieces I have available.
Antique props, chain, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to show scale in the photos with the zoom that is required for detail.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
One pin ding along with some surface scratches, all more notable in areas with the mirrored finish. The back shows the ding more than the front side. These are always quite thin so they often have some curves : ) but definitely still wearable.
Beautiful rich antique patina. I noticed some of the photos in the warm autumn sun reflected a sort of brassy hue which is not indicative of the piece. The cover photo is a more true to life indication of the color.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
