Domed SAPPHIRE 1 Carat Rose Cut DIAMOND Dangle Earrings 18k White Gold Halo Cluster 3D Art Deco Pave

ABOUT:

Amazing diamond encrusted domed earrings each with center natural sapphire and 25 rose cut diamonds. The dangle portion is domed to provide a 3D effect with the pieces crafted in 18k white gold. The diamonds total around 1 carat between the pair so quite a lot of sparkle. They are set into the dome with chiseled gold work providing an illusion setting so the earrings have a pave encrusted appearance with a cut down collet design around the outside edge. Wonderful the way they catch the light to allow all the diamonds to glitter.

Would be a beautiful something old and something blue for a bride. As well as a special heirloom set to pass down.

No hallmarks remain but sold to me as high carat gold and held strong an 18k test, it has a very vibrant high shine with pure white coloring.

Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos. Antique box in photos is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Each earring measures 25mm from top of earwire to bottom of the dome, The dome is 14mm in diameter and 6mm deep.

The diamonds are 1.5 to 2mm each with the largest one at the top about 3mm on each earring. Exact depths and thereby carat weight of each are unknown as I would never remove them but there are 50 of them so the pair is over a carat total weigh in diamonds. The sapphire is about 3.7mm.

The pair weigh 5.2 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical rose cut diamonds with some inclusions, nicks, frosty edges. They are small so this is not really visible to the eye, they just add a nice little glint of sparkle. The largest diamonds at the top - one has chips around the girdle with little shards of loss, the other has a linear inclusion that appears like a crack but does not carry up to the surface. The domed diamonds are in better condition with only one having cracked with loss which is barely eye visible as it is one of the smaller stones, the others all appear complete to the eye.
