ABOUT:
Rich buttery coloring to this figural pin / brooch with hook on the bottom originally meant to hold a pocket watch. This piece would be excellent converted to a necklace with the ability to wear it alone or to hang an additional pendant from the hook below as seen in photos (additional pieces listed separately.)
Wonderful rich patina, I love figural pieces. It has a pearl in its mouth and is set with rose cut diamonds on the wings for a glint of sparkle. I did not notice until now while studying it under magnification that three of the diamonds are missing. They are so teeny tiny that it does not really affect the look of the piece overall.
Chain in photos is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
The piece measures 42mm by 23mm. It weighs 2.1 grams.
MARKS:
French hallmarks for 18k on the pin post and the catch.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, small nicks. They also may have some build up and some imperfections and other age related wear, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still functioning and wearable. For pieces with more patina, this can often be cleaned up / polished by the buyer but most of my customers prefer original patina so I sell them as is.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
