ABOUT:
We so often see these navettes north south, it's fun to wear this one with the east west setting. The ring face is propped up to span the finger with a great cobblestone texture and wonderful sparkle from the 1 carat of chunky old mine cut diamonds.

Crafted in 18k gold, the ring face is topped in silver as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal. The bead prongs add to the texture of the ring face which is set with 21 diamonds of slightly varying sizes. Makes a fun stacker!

Found in England. No hallmarks remain but tests at 18k gold.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 1/2

The ring face is 9.5mm north south by 22mm and 3.8mm tall off the finger.
Exact carat weight is unknown as I would not remove them from the setting.
The center diamond is 3.5mm with a nice high crown and chunk cut. The other twenty diamonds are 1.5 to 2.5mm each.

The ring weight is 3.85 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

I realized when I was studying this one that I missed quite a lot of lotion and soap buildup behind the stones especially at each end, So in real life, it will sparkle even brighter and whiter than it appears in the pictures.

A nice and sturdy setting, with the many bead prongs this one appears ready for regular wear. Two stones have a small chip to the outside girdle edge. This is not really eye visible due to all the prongs.

Typical antique diamonds with some warm to gray hues and some natural inclusions. The stones do not appear dull or lifeless at all. One small carbon spot to the center stone, the rest are all frosty specks. Slightly eye visible with a few of the smaller stones reading a bit frosty overall. Nice antique sparkle, reading a bit on the moody side like many antique diamonds due to the cuts, the slight hues and the patina to the silver face. Wonderful texture, fun to wear!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
