ABOUT:
At the moment I am especially drawn to stackable diamond bands and this is a lovely one. I try to acquire as many as I can because they are so versatile and wearable that they are always very popular.
Antique 18k gold ring with platinum bezel setting holding five old cut diamonds totaling around .45 carat total weight. It is glittery and a striking one to wear and stack with a wonderful patina of antique gold and the 5 diamonds in just slightly graduating sizes. Of the five diamonds, four are old mine cut and one on the end is a brilliant cut, likely a replacement.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 7 1/4.
Ring face: 3.2mm north south and 3.7mm tall off the finger.
Weight: 2.3g.
The diamonds measure 2.2 to 3.2mm each slightly graduating towards the outside.
CONDITION NOTES:
As mentioned one end stone is a brilliant cut replacement. Typical antique diamonds with some natural frosty inclusions, nothing glaringly eye visible. Versatile band to layer with a nice sparkle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
