FLEUR de LIS Rose Cut DIAMONDS Figural French Antique Ring 18k Gold

I have a passion for French antique jewelry and this is or course quite French - rose cut diamond encrusted figural Fleur de Lis ring. It has a wonderful patina and a moody sparkle from the old rose cuts set into the detailed fleur de lis in a pave style. The shoulders are delicately detailed and even the ring butt / booty (as we adoringly call it in the trade) / the back of the ring face is engraved to the fleur de lis design  Wonderful French Belle Epoque piece.

The "Fleur de Lis (or Lys)" translates to: "Flower of the Lily". It is considered to symbolize purity and chastity in a Christian perspective, and to symbolize the holy Trinity with its three petals. It has been used in the French monarchy since the 12th century and was even present on the banner of Joan of Arc. It still remains prominent around the country of France today, in emblems, stained glass windows, flags and textile (and jewelry) designs.

HALLMARKS:
No hallmarks remain which is common for French pieces as they are marked in the back and often lost during a sizing. But sold to me from a reputable source in France where the standard is 18k and tested to confirm.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 4 1/4, The ring face is 16x8mm. The diamonds are small - 1 to 1.5mm each. Weighs 4g so it is sturdy for a petite piece.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

One tiny diamond at the bottom is missing but I did not even notice this until studying it under magnification so I decided to sell it as is, since sometimes repairs can can affect the intricate original condition and stick out like a sore thumb against the antique stones. Warm hues to the diamonds from the closed back setting. Typical antique rose cuts with some frosty inclusions under magnification only but they are in good shape without a lot of frostiness or chips like we often see in these old little rough cut diamonds. These have a nice sheen and are so small that none of this is detectible, they just add a glint of sparkle. Patina to the gold, evidence of a sizing to the back. A sweet little piece with a pretty color and sparkle. Gentle wear recommend with all the little diamonds in the very old setting.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
