ABOUT:
Beautiful coloring, shape and a nice sparkle to this French vintage piece. The pendant is set with a vibrant green teardrop emerald in a setting with a fleur de lis top and set with little single cut and transitional cut diamonds for sparkle. The pendant is in yellow gold topped with white gold for the diamonds, and the the chain is white gold so it has a lovely two tone look. The pendant portion is affixed with two loops to the chain (so it does not slide).
Found in Paris, France. French hallmark on the chain for 18k gold.
Antique boxes, pendants / displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 5 grams.
It is 16 inches long. The pendant portion is 25x7mm and the emerald is 11x6mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The emerald has natural warm and frosty inclusions throughout but a lovely color. Some carry up to the surface but it has a nice sheen and polish and does not appear dull or abraided.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
