ABOUT:
Amazing movement and sparkle to this floral diamond pendant which is completely encrusted in antique diamonds - 56 of them to be exact. At the center is a chunky old mine cut raised in prongs. The fluttering layers of petals are also each set with many rose cut diamonds. And then my favorite part are the little "stamens" (hooray flower anatomy! : ) which have little bezels each holding a little rose cut at the end of posts in a sort of organic spray of glitter around the center stone.
This Paris find from the Victorian used to be a brooch but has had the pin parts removed and a loop added. It has a little gold hook at the bottom which likely originally held a small woman's pocket watch. It has been converted to a pendant so now it can be worn as a magnificent statment pendant, OR as a magnificent statement pendant Holder in that you can attach other pendants and charms to dangle from the bottom beneath the flower.
The fun thing about that hook is that you can swap them out and wear it with any combination of additional pendants. Pretty awesome! You could also hook a little dog clip to the bottom to add an additional dangle. Some examples seen in photos but listing is for the one pendant only. I do have some dog clips available for purchase separately so feel free to inquire if you'd like to add one.
French hallmarks on the hook for 14k gold and silver. The back is a rosy gold and the tops of the petals and all the diamond settings are in silver, as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal.
Please note the measurements. I always include them in each listing but people tend to miss them - I have to show zoom photos for detail which can make it hard to determine scale.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
The center old mine cut is a chunky 3.7mm and about .3 carat. The 55 rose cut diamonds are about 1.5mm each give or take with varying organic shapes and sizes as they were all hand cut. Exact depths of each little rose cut and thereby total carat weight is unknown but it is definitely over 1 carat, up to potentially 1.5 carat or more? The little rose cuts are difficult to estimate but there are so many of them!
The piece measures 26mm top to bottom or side to side, and about 8.6mm deep.
It weighs a sturdy 6 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique rose cuts with irregular sizes, facets, shapes. Some frosty spots and natural inclusions but surprisingly all are present. A rough edge here or there but they may have always been that way as they were cut by hand and are meant to add a glint of sparkle, rose cuts of this age tend to always appear this way. The silver has a beautiful age appropriate dark patina but one petal appears lighter silver in color for some reason. I'm not sure why the patina was lost in that one spot but something to look for in photos, it is in the recesses behind the center pop outs but just always describing every little thing I see.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
