ABOUT:
This is a personal collection piece that I have enjoyed wearing - I got it in France because I loved the ornate open work and the old cut diamonds in the floral pattern. Fun to stack with other bangles!
This Victorian era piece is crafted in 18k gold with a warm, rich and buttery patina. The top half is set with 19 old single cut diamonds with tiny open culets, totaling just under one carat. Beautiful sparkle, scrollwork and a daisy cluster center.
It has a screw that you twist into an opening to secure it. No hallmarks that I could find but sold to me in France as 18k which is the standard there and tested to confirm.
Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 8.7 grams. Made for a petite wrist. I have a 5 1/2 inch wrist and this fits me well where it can move and isn't too tight but probably couldn't fit a much larger wrist because of the north south measurement being quite narrow. Inside dimensions are 48mm by 45mm if I measure the diameter / distance across the opening in each direction.
I would not remove the stones for exact measurements but the 19 diamonds each measure 2.2 to 2.5mm for an estimated total weight of just a little under one carat in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.
There is a 6mm shallow oval impression that is rippled to the outside back of the bangle. There are some other shallow impressions as well but the one is the most noticeable. There is also some varying patina to the inside back, almost like a repair was done but it is smooth so there is no lumpy solder or anything, this is not seen while wearing. A worn prong here or there but this seems to be more of a special occasion piece to me, for gentler wear, although it could be dressed up or down. Typical antique diamonds may have some light inclusions, nothing visible to the eye. They are small and have a nice bright color and a lovely sparkle.
