ABOUT:

Several personal collection releases in today's ring drop, some tough ones to let go but I try to make a habit of dialing back on kept inventory from time to time. I need to move some things for my spring inventory trips.

This was one of the first jewelry purchases I ever kept for myself. I purchased this one from an antique dealer friend of mine near Paris who I had been shopping with for years buying silver and chatelaine items. I love figural floral jewelry and especially romantic ones so this one is dear to me. The two forget me not flowers are set with varying hues of turquoise with little rose cut diamonds in the center to catch the light and provide a glint of sparkle. Probably my favorite part about it are the additional gold flowers suspended between the forked shoulders. Dates to the mid to early 1800s. Also represents a toi et moi ring (you and me) with one flower representing each part of a couple.

French hallmarks for 18k gold (for the shank and shoulders) and silver (which holds the stones),

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/4. The ring face is 17mm north south. It weighs 2.8g.

CONDITION NOTES:

Some build up and patina, some white residue under magnification. The stones have various hues from age and one appears to be a bead since it doesn't have the natural variations. The diamonds read worm due to the antique closed back setting. Five of the turquoise have and / or flakes of loss but still appear round in the settings and the piece is very legible. Uncommon form - I will always love this one.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
