ABOUT:
Sparkly larger sized cluster pendant set with seven old mine cut diamonds totaling around 1 carat total. This French antique piece is in 18k white gold. Comes as pictured on 18k white gold chain. Alternating ball rivet details between the outside halo of diamonds are in yellow gold for a nice glow. It has a substantial bale. The back is yellow gold at the center as well so it has a nice two tone coloring.
Great 3D form with triangular beveled edges and graduating diamonds in alternating rows.
It is a quite sturdy fabrication with a wonderful color and sparkle.
French hallmarks for 18k with a goldsmith stamp on the chain. The pendant is unmarked.
MEASUREMENTS:
21.5mm to the attached loop by 14mm wide. Pendant with chain weighs 7.5 grams. Center diamond is 4.5mm, the others are about 3mm each. Depths vary and exact weight is unknown as I would not remove the stones but just using honesty and online estimates / calculators I am getting about 1 carat total weight in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Completely functional and sturdy. I see some verdigris discoloration under magnification at the solder point between the bale and the pendant. Typical antique diamonds with some faint natural inclusions, no dark carbon specks and the center largest diamond has an especially nice clarity. One nibble to the girdle edge of one stone seen only under very strong magnification, no visible chips or nicks.
Still sturdy and wearable, sparkly and beautiful.
But of course Due to age, please note this is not a mint condition item.
